    Yes Iberia!!
Aymar you did a great job!

I believe that the models in 3d very well, but skin I do not like anything, very simple, the previous ones better
Malakey, read this from the preview.
Please note that unless stated otherwise, ALL pictures shown in our previews are of works in progress. We continue to improve on all parts of EB, and we will continue to do so long after our initial relea

It's not the skins, Malakay. It's that Iberians dressed that simple. We are not going to dress them like hussar sergeants or Daredevil just to make them look cool.

If you like fancy colors and cool effects, try the incoming Blue Lotus mod. There you'll find a lot of incredible units with really impressive graphics -a real good fantasy work. But EB tries to be historical, and ancient world people didn't dress themselves to meet our tastes.

Aymar's skins are incredibly good. And simpler, yes, than the expensive elite hellenistic, celtic or Roman stuff. Just as it was. If you don't like simplicity, then you'll hate the Swaboz (Germans), or the Cantabrii. Most of those guys dressed in something similar to potatoe sacks.

What graphics settings are being used for those models? It looks a bit low, hence the units look a bit bland and jagged. Having seen some of these units with high graphical settings, I can safely say that they look better with graphical detail turned up to full. :)

Dux why are the germans so simple, every new mode, with the help of Safe,l i make i try to make them different as much i can from the others by adding little details wich weren't on other and also we have 5 hair types(from wich we shown 2) wich are used on different units and other examples like this, but if you mean their weapons, yes almost all german units use 2 frameas, and if you mean the skins you should take a look at them, so please don't scare our german fans.
Anyway i completely agree with you about the iberians, that was how they dressed themselfs.
    And btw it's Sweboz.

    Aymar,
I have checked the old EB unit thread (i was bored) and I found an interesting unit made by Prometheus.
Is this unit still in the Iberia faction ?

Yes, good point. It needs an adjustment in spearhead size and hand grip position.

Sorry, Alin, I meant simplicity in the sense of austere clothing in natural colors, different from the goudy exhibition of gold and rich textiles that are common in other factions. That doesn't mean at all a lack of attention to detail and variety.

And if you want to have some laughs in Spain, just shout "No me toques los Sweboz" ("Don't touch my Sweboz"), and observe people's reaction...

Ey Malakai, colega. Las skins están chulas. Si no te gustan, estás en tu derecho en decirlo, naturalmente, pero razónalo desde un principio, que si no te tomarán por un troll y te lloverán palos por todas partes.

Saludos y nos vemos en el multi.

Hi Malakai, mate. The skins are cool but if you don´t like it you are right if you want to say it here, of course, but reason it since beginning or people will think than you are a troll and they will punish you.

Greetings and see you in the multi.

Too bad. They reproduce what they dressed at the time. So, your beef is not with me but with ancient Iberians.

    Check this:

    Iberian Milites
    :
    Iberian Loricatii Caetratii:

    and compare it to this:

See the two central guys in the image? See the horse?

    Now the Iberian Caetratii:

    Check this:

    Similar or not?

    Now the Iberian Equites Caetratii:

    Check this:

See the men? See the horses?

    I rest my case...

Yes, but it's being altered by me. Those are Celtiberians.

mongoose, are you sure by "cool" you don't mean "utter trash"? because that's how i would describe the bull warrioirs..

btw, i don't think malakay was trolling. i can see how the bold, almost geometric designs and small color range could throw some people. i quite like them, and find them very evocative. but it's better to show people like malakay why the skins are proper (as aymar did) than call him a troll.

ok, you call all carry on now.
now i'm here, and history is vindicated.

I do not think that they are not history correct, only i dont like this skins faction but no all, only "Iberian Loricatii Caetratii" and "Iberian Milites".... why? because i believe that the skin not this very worked.... (is my opinion).

Sorry for my english an bye.

    The units do look beautiful.

Malakay, are you looking at the pictures in full resolution? Imageshack minimizes the picture a bit to fit the computer screen. Just click on the picture again.

They may not have the most flair around but who wants flambouyancy anyway? I say these guys rock, because they are using primitive camoflouge, and most are peasant/warriors anyway, give em' a break they can't afford cool chainmail.

haha, i'll remember that, but to not say it.
Ah yes now i agree with you, the clothing is very simple, the textiles don't look as rich as at other factions, altough they will have some armoured units, but they do have a lot of variety.

Nice preview, but would you mind compress those JPEG`s in your next preview? My connection doesn`t like such sizes; thanks.

hhmmmmm i like the models but the textures are just a bit.... bland? i dunno there is just sumthing not quite right about them. they are a VAST improvement on the vanilla faction (as are all the EB factions) but i was far more impressed by the other previews. i was hoping for the iberians to get perhaps the biggest upgrade in EB, but then again, this is just a beta preview, so hopefully things will improve. still, it is nice work, and you should be congratulated. i really like the iberians in prometheus' RES GESTAE mod and in iberia: total war. maybe you could take a look at them? otherwise, well done. cheers.

p.s sorry if i seem ungrateful
