    Default gifts.

    does anyone know if the ai. factions like you more if you give them
    gifts on a regular bases?

    or does giving gifts do nothing?

    gifts will not increase your long term popularity with a faction iirc.

    What they will do is act as 'money' in a transaction aka.
    give 2 territories, 1000 gold for one good territory/a ceasefire etc.
