There isn't a single file which can reduce battle kill speed, its not like a switch you flick
There are various methods you can use. One is to increase the defence of all units by a considerable margin, or reduce the lethality of all units attacks. Unfortunately there's no easier wayGood luck

okay, i was hoping it was like speed on the campagian map(nice tutorial by the way. It still sounds easy enough.
Well im about half-way done with the tedious job of raising ever units defenses by 5. It's the last step in my new mod.![]()

Yeah I've been raising defence and lowering attack for the mod I'm working on. It's annoying aving to go through every single unit, but it's all you can do.

I´m wondering, is there any way to disable routing for specific unit types? I mean, look at the Warhammer mod, for example, where there are skeleton units. Now, it wouldn´t make much sense if these would rout, they are already dead, after all. Just something that occurred to me...
There's no way to disable routing, however it's pretty easy to put their morale so high that they never break. Have a look in export_descr_unit at the explanatory note at the top as to which variable you have to change.

I figured so, but I wanted to make sure. Is there any upper limit for that morale? The highest entry I´ve come across is 14, I think, for Urban Cohorts, but they still can rout.
And something - slightly - related, what about the unit size? I know the maximum number is 60 and there is a lowest one, though I´m not sure which. But what about in between, is every figure possible or are there certain rules to it?

Not sure about an upper limit for morale, it's difficult to test. I imagine there's a point where it an increase in the number makes no difference.
For nos. of soldiers in the unit you can have anything in between the two limits of 6 and 60.

Thanks for your quick answer, anything between six and sixty it is, then. Good to know.
I´ll give the hard-code threat a try, though from my experience it´s always hard to find information you´re looking for in such big threads.
There's a big summary in the first post6 & 60 inclusive BTW.
