VAE VICTUS 07:18 08-06-2005
ok,what in history do we take for granted,or not know for sure, being as we werent their, and that eyewitness accounts are usually highly unreliable and differ one from another.just a question.
did anything we read about actually happen?
(i think it did but it never hurts to question.well if your catholic it may.....)

Its a very general question so what do you expect from people? A long list starting from the Big Bang up to now?

Yes there are lots of things we cant be sure of as we have little or conflicting information, especially when we are looking for very detailed information.

We can be pretty certain that Julius Ceasar actually did conquer Gaul but we cant be certain of the enemy numbers as he most likely inflated the numbers, to name one example.

You can't be sure of anymore more than what your senses tell you.

Aside from that, it's all conjecture.
