A few months ago I downloaded a device that let me crack the CD so I could use process_cq and _rq cheats as often as I liked. I only have version 1.0, and I was wondering if I could upgrade to versions 1.1 or 1.2 and still be able to use the cheats.

Check the FAQs:

The administration is aware of the fact that some use a "no-CD hack" for the perfectly legal purpose of enchancing their system performance, but we feel that the possible illegal benefits from these hacks outweight the legal ones. Anything pertaining to software piracy is in general highly discouraged.

And as a corollary to that: no no-cd hack exists for 1.2 so there's no point looking.
