Although it seems a bit of a stretch but I saw something on the use of kites to assist the slaves in moving the stones up a sand bridge. The experiment worked real well when they raised an obelisk.
The Egyptianswere experienced with rope works and riggings etc. but I don’t know how realistic it would be to harness the ever-changing wind. But they did take many years to build, who knows what each new generation may have tried, in addition to the slaves of course.
