Then get Viking Invasion first and install WesW MedMod 3.14, play a few campaigns and perhaps MedMod IV is ready by then In realism wise, there is no better mods than WesW Medieval Mods. IMO even more realistic campaign (because of even harsher territorial restrictions)than Rome: Total Realism 6.0. And the game is much, much harder. Rome, even RTR, is always too easy.

I made a mod for 1.1 a while ago that I think is pretty darn good. Unfortunately, I it's not too flashy and I didn't "promote" it too well, and so there it sits, just waiting for a friend. The mod is called MOYA II and I hope that you will try it. I'd just like to have a little feedback on it, if nothing else. It needs a little more documentation (I guess) since you have to open up the crusaders_unit_prod11.txt file to learn how the units are built and that's a hassle. I think that the game works best using the Glorious Achievements option. I know that the GA option "is broken" in some way, but I just like it. Anyway, it you conquer 60% of the map, you win whether you have GA on or not.

I only play using MOYA II and wouldn't play MTW any other way. Here's why.

I expect some things to "work" a certain way. I expect the Crusades to happen at the start of the game. I expect the Holy Orders and fanatics to be "Holy Terrors" on the battlefield. I expect the primary job of a king to be putting down rebellions. I don't want the game to become boring after the first half, with the end game becoming a big snore fest. I want each nation to have its own UNIQUE armies that have special units for that nation.

I want the armies I fight to be well balanced and have quality troops, not a bunch of peasants.

So I made MOYA II and it works very well. I like to play the Italians or Poles and try to win using "Glorious Achievements." It's exciting and it often goes "down to the wire"-- the game isn't decided until the last few turns in a furious series of battles against the other dominant power (usually England, Novgorod or Turkey). Tell me the last time you played a game in Early time period that went that way!!

MOYA II has to be played in NORMAL difficulty. Upping the difficulty just causes HORDES of peasants to be generated and it kills the "fine balance".

So download MOYA II from http://www.3ddownloads.com/strategy-...oya2forV11.zip

and give me some feedback-- please!
