Question only one modell. any changes?

    hi there,

i made some high qual. spartan model in 3d studio max and now i want to try it out. but as soon as i implement it in the dub file i get crashed to desktop.
i have only a high quality model no med or low ones. i wanna use existing sprite and tested my texture on another modell successful. so what must my unit entry in descr_battle file look like to get that working?

When I am testing a new model and haven't made the low detail versions, I just put the same model into aqll of the ( usually 4 ) LOD slots. This way, the game has a model to display at each range ( the same one ) and keeps some entry on the sprite line.

Ultimately, you will want to make the lower detail models ( YES you will!! ) and this makes it much easier to add them in afterwards and should also avoid crashes now

To get your entry to work, copy an existing one, and ONLY change the modelname and the texture name. Put the model with all the other RTW cas files. There is a good unit creation tutorial in the tutorials section that shows the format your DMB entry must follow.

go to 'step 3' and it's all laid out very clearly
