There was one thread about Clinton, which doesnt even start to make up for the hundreds - literally hundreds - of Bush bashing threads that have been posted here.

Okay, just to make certain I've got this so far...

To keep things fair, we on the Right:

-Can't start new threads that point out where the Left is wrong.
-Can't post opinion pieces.
-Can't use labels.
-Can't talk about a Democrat who's not currently in office.

You on the Left are under none of the restrictions. Am I missing anything?

You know, I've looked all over for those thread titles and can't find them... Sasaki, could you post the links to those TITLES? Maybe I'm not looking hard enough or maybe its just one of those liberal ways of seeing things that just aren't there...

But, this should be followed by both sides. Presenting threads about such topics that only aim to show facts are alright, but the sources shown shouldnt show extreme biast. Now no biast would be best, but thats probably impossible to find.

Hay everyone had a good time making fun of my clinton thread anyway Goof ball is still making fun of "ak47 world". I know of sites that are alot weirder then that he would be shocked to see some of the information sites I go to for political info.

KOA how can you expect that site to be non biased that clinton gun ban almost put them out of buisness they took a hard hit from that Alot of my local gun shops were also hurt from that ban.

Not making fun of your thread, but that wasnt a very good choice for info. I think we shouldnt post articles that are obviously biased. Yours was just the first one that came to mind, since i havent been in the backroom much of late.

edit to your edit- I wouldnt expect that site to be non-biased, i just dont think biased articles like that need to be posted. Surely if it is a legitamate point one can find a more suitable article.

Just venting a little. There's precious little going on in the backroom these days except bickering. It seems like most people are afraid their post won't get responded to unless they make it controversial in some way. Usually they either exaggerate, use excessive sarcasm, or broad sweeping insults of the political groups they disagree with. All within the forum rules of course but it results in very low quality.

Funny really, as the posts that really get the most attention, if not the most replies, are the well thought out, reasonable, well written ones.


I made up my own thread names because I didn't want to point fingers. I haven't seen any Bush bashing lately but if I had I would have mentioned it.

Ive look, and I can find only the Clinton thread that fits your criteria. One thread is hardly spamming, and one conservative doesnt constitute all of us.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. I did not mean it for an accusation of all conservatives. I was commenting on a trend of starting threads with the purpos e of bashing the left, or bashing them within other threads, instead of civil political discussion.

I thought this made it clean that I was referring only to the conservatives who had been posting said threads and making those comments.

i don't think that the clinton thread is a fair one. i don't think that the one about the clinton admin dropping the ball on disarming potential 9-11 terrorists is fair either. i do think that it is absurd to criticize the posters for simply posting these articles

look at JAG's posts, for one example of the other side doing something very similar

i enjoy reading those, too - it reminds me of how strongly i have to fight against absurd notions that are strongly believed by a growing number of people - and the sick part is that they are not even illogical. opposing arguments, even propaganda, need to be seen before one can argue against them. know the enemy, baby cries-a-lot; you're in big boy college now

sasaki, this is kind of a poorly designed thread. if you have a specific complaint about the backroom, why not make a thread in the backroom sub-forum in the watchtower? you had to know that several people were going to be perceive this thread as a personal attack, hadn't you?

Well, I guess a lot of threads are clearly biased and the comments accompanying the articles are one-liner "you guys are losers" kind of thing. Besides, somebody just said (okay, wrote) something about the media loving two opposite sides fighting. So to get a fight, anger them, and be stereotypical, and you'll get a lot of attention.

The oddest request I’ve seen in a long time.

After reading literally hundreds and hundreds of threads that were designed specifically to provoke/bash/piss off the conservatives in my time as the Backroom moderator, I have never uttered one word to the left wing to stop with it; this is hilarious.

Like beating the guy half-dead and filing in a lawsuit against him because you’ve hurt your fist while breaking his teeth.

Not that there are any particular heavyweights in Backroom on the left side, since the two of the strongest ones lost interest and mostly stopped posting lately.

Please consider Sasaki’s post as a post of a patron, and not as the staff’s directive. Freedom of speech, something that is highly revered by both left and right, is still in force here at the .Org. Other rules as generally known still apply.

Sasaki has a point. If the threads I started yesterday are too hurtful, and hate-filled, perhaps he's right, and I'm pretty sure he's talking about those among others. Very well, if conservatives posting in the backroom is hate-filled spam, and nothing we have to say is of value, I think it's time for me to take a break for a while. Catch you guys in a few weeks.
