I recently read that the defeat suffered by the Japanese army, and 14th "Forgotten" army's subsequent drive into Burma was the biggest land defeat suffered by Japan during the entire war with its 50 - 100,000 japanese casualties.

I Immediately thought that the Soviet invasion of Manchuria must have been a bigger defeat, but I am too lazy to look it up. What are Org members thoughts on this battle?
