Which files do i have to back up before intalling RTR?

My mistake was not backing up the data folder and now, when I reinstall I get the modified Data folder. Does anyone know how I could get back vanilla files? I'm not talking about piracy, just any tricks or places the original files could be "hidden".

Precisely. I need to play vanilla for clan business. Plus, I'll probably get tired of BI after a year (maybe sooner) and want to go back to some more ancient fightng.

Nope. Basically instead of just copying the data folder you should copy the whole Rome: Total War folder. Then install the mod over one of the folders so effectivly you are running two romes on your PC. So you can still play Vanilla and the mod.

I used to have a handy link to somewhere which had all the vanilla files free for download, just in case you did make a screw-up like this. I think it's in the TW Center.
