VI unpatched got the 56 year bug. All kings dies at the same age (57), thus are never older than 56.

the AI stops marriages after you cross a certain threshold towards victory, I think it's 30% of the available territory, but i'm not postive
There's usually one faction that marries thier princesses with your princes thurough out the game (or until you're at war with them, but sometime they'll even continue that for a while). It's most often the crippled Sicilians (AKA when they are trapped on Malta), but it can be all factions (although some factions is extremely rare). Danes are common too. It's usually a small faction. But you always need to ask for marriage.
