    Question Naval Units and Transporting

    I just got Medieval Total War after Rome:TW and im confused on how to transport units across water eg. Im danish and I have to fight france but Germany is in the way, how would i attack them without having to plow through Germany? any help is greatly appreciated!

    You will need a seaport in the province your army is transporting from and then also a ship in each sea region connecting to the province you wish to attack. Also you will need a province with a shipwright to produce the basic level ships. Only thing that can interrupt your plans then would be an enemy ship in one of the seas along the route which would blockade you. I'm a bit new, but think this is all you would need.

    The Pope prolly won't like you attacking another Catholic though

    This would be because they had attacked another Catholic faction, but you may not have had an emissary/watchtower/princess nearby to see it happen.

    Port at home province, ships in all sea zones in between, and if the
    destination province doesn't have a port - you will not be able to
    recall your units until one is built .
