    Default Favourite meat

I just had a lovely lunch of roast beef ( my favourite with lamb) and made me wonder what sort of meat other people liked.

I had Veal in a 5 star restaurant/hotel in San fransisco two years back, damn good, with mash potatoes and peas and that orangey yellow stuff thats mixed with carrots.

p.s If you're wondering why I was in a five star hotel....British Airways overbooked our flight and we volunteered to be off loaded, so we got a five star night (all expenses paid) and £180 flight vouchers!

I like the duck, the pheasant and generally game birds, big fan of good pork too.

For favorite meat, I'd have to go with Lamb, but I am a big organ meat fan as well. There's nothing like liver with onions and bacon, or a kidney pie; although I'll surely be in the minority in liking that stuff.

Beef (roast beef, grilled steak), Pork (roast), Lamb (roast)

What is the taste difference between mutton and lamb? I love roast lamb I get in Greek restaurants but cannot seem to duplicate it at home. Someone said they use mutton?

Mutton is supposed to have a stronger flavour, but it is tougher than lamb.

I love liver, especially goose liver fried with onions. I forgot to mention duck, which I like crispy with orange sauce.

Beef, turkey, chicken and lamb. Lamb is the most delicious meat there is.

Lobsters and crabs are good too.

Moose is great. I trade my buddy Guinness beer and apple BBQ wood for moose meat every time he comes back from a hunt. It tastes so clean compared to store bought meat.

And beef. A Del Monico cut. 1-1/2 inch thick from the small end of the Rib Eye. Just beauty!

Why is it that everytime I read moose, I see Moses? I must get my eyes checked. It's a bit freaky reading that some people like having a bit of grilled Prophet!
