That's because they are university units, not high school units - as such they tend to describe what they do![]()
Scaling doesn't bother me, it happens - I've got some good results off of it, some bad. I'm still top of the unit.

No need to worry. I got a II.I, thats the second highest grade possible. I was 3 marks (percent) off a first overall. Its not that I did badly at all, just that I personally feel that I could easily have gotten a first, with just a minimal amount of additional effort. Had a good first year as well, so all in all I'm still very happy with both my grade and how much social time I had during the year. Plus, my first year grades dont count at all for my degree. Different Uni system over here I suppose...My not so hot results for my first year of my first degree dragged my overall GPA down... while at the same time I had a similar attitude to yourself, I found employers were not into analyzing your marks on a unit by unit basis, they look straight at your GPA (hell, if I had 500 applicants for a small number of positions I would do the same), first year subjects are easy, something I put to use in my LLB.
Eppur si muove
Whenever it was I did 'em, 5 As at A-level - in Bio, Chem, Maths, Further Maths and Stats. I also got a 1520 in those US SAT thingies. Fun fun fun.
Of course! My bad... that would also explain why the marks come in F/P/C/D/HD form!Originally Posted by dgb
Guess so. I have had some hard times trying to explain the differences between our systems to American students, but I don't feel like doing it for another country!Originally Posted by _Martyr_
