War of the Heavens
Well i began this mod as a skinning development thing, but now it looks promising, so im posting it as a mod. The main goal of the mod is to have the Sun cult vs. the Moon Cult. The Sun Cult will have some very bright units, where as the moon cult will have very dark ones.

yeah, I have a mini battle with every new unit, but i really want to have a good army done before I do anything major. I have some battle pics in the original thread.

I have created the first installment of War of the Heavens. I really liked the idea of the Moon and Sun Cult. Ths story provides some form of background. Check in for more story later!

Shifty, thanks for your comments i really apreciate it.
But remeber the dark dudes have Evil power so you never know who would win. Im thinking all the dark units may be stronger, i mean in the movies the evil guys are always tougher...

Shifty i tries earlier, but failed miserably..
This mod began as a way to learn to skin(i still have only been skinning for 4 days), but i will fiish it. Units are probably about half way through, and changes to the actual game will be rather small. If anybody wanted to help by like making a custom map, that would be cool.

How about some "Wolves of Darkness" or "Lunar Hounds" wolves (dogs, whatever) who've been taught to kill???
I think that would be a cool edition to the game.
Also, I made Lunar Ghost vulnerable to Flaming arrows, hope that doesn't affect any plans

Why don't you make it so earth is caught up in this battle, and humans join in the fight against the cults, who are battling over earth? Then you could make lots of cool new units. You could make a 'human alliance' team, so the 3 factions are: Moon, Sun, and Earth. Earth could get lots of provincial units, eg. Samurai in Japan, Jaguar Warriors in Mexico.
BTW, how did you skin to make those lunar ghosts see through?

RTW King, I used alpha channels.
As for new units im planning, hellhounds, floating archers and Magicians that shoot out balls of fire...

I added some to Chapter two, and made magicians priest with special power. Now direct flame will kill a Lunar Ghost.

Okay, these deserve to get a little desciption. They fly, shoot flamming balls of magic, and anybody that gets near them is flung far away...
They are the moon elite. The are so merged with the moon spirit that they can pull from its powers.

Those moon spirits are simple but very cool. They look like more than just a peasants
