I think that that's slightly close minded. It's kinda like the Romans thinking barbarians were stupid and smelly. Realism doesn't equal good just as barbarian doesn't equal stupid(I don't know about the smelly). I've always thought that realism is good, but tastefully implemented gameplay compromises make the realism better and more bearable in some cases.Originally Posted by caesar44
Seriously, HTW drove me insane. Marching turtle-speed hoplites half way across the map to engage equally turtle-speed hoplites to get about 2 minutes of fighting after 15 minutes of moving is BORING. You cant' say you like to watch walking for 15 minutes.
Sweet Jebus that game was slow. Especially sieges since the castles were huge(good) but your units were slow(!@%!@#% bad).
There's are very distinct boundaries between fantasy, real, and TOOOOOO real.
