They've dropped a few recently, but they've also averaged about 8 runs a game over the last month. Manny and Ortiz are on fire. Schilling returns to the rotation thursday, so there's hope for the pitching staff.

I cannot believe I'm with JAG against GoO for once.

I remember when the Patriots won the Superbowl for the first time a few years ago. All you heard from the New England fans at the end of the game was the chant, "Yankees suck! Yankees suck!" Best baseball fans ever.

I know the run production has been there for the most part, but there are many holes opening up and it is worrying. The bullpen is weak, very weak. Every game you cringe when the ball is handed over to anyone but Timlin, it isn't good.

Yes Schilling back in the rotation Thursday but he isn't the real Schilling yet, it could still go pear shaped. :/

I watch all the Sox games - well a vast majority - via mlb tv, and this road trip has been desperate. Against the Angels our offence has even been very poor, including Manny and Big Papi. Maybe I am just worried about the Yankees creeping ever closer and seemingly playing well.

Anyway, will get easier vs KC. :D
GARCIN: I "dreamt," you say. It was no dream. When I chose the hardest path, I made my choice deliberately. A man is what he wills himself to be.
INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.

I missed today's game because of Fox's idiotic black out policy. (Pay $160 for a season of baseball and they still manage to screw me out of games here and there. F you, Fox.)

One good thing about the Yanks beating up the other Sox is that maybe we can get home cooking through out the play-offs, assuming all goes well. I'll never understand why Theo didn't make a good bullpen acquisition before the dead line. The Sox have a ton of great young prospects and something could've been done. (wishing we had Billy Wagner here)

Anyway, I'm a little tipsy and starting to ramble (hijack). I'm just kinda psyched to see another Sox fan from across the pond.

According to the good patrons of this site Soccer is 113% better than American "football" and 540% better than Baseball.

Perhaps you're right, but football is the most played of all the games.
    Not proffesionally.

Is it fair to class motor sport as one sport?

Rugby. And don't go telling me you need to be of a certain size, that's bullocks. My friend is an first XV full back at 5'1'' and he's good at his job, most of the backs are 5'3'' and we won the middlesex cup. Ok, one of the backs was this person who we all reckon is on steroids...

I'm a flanker and I'm not exactly big by any means whatsoever.

I think you need more stamina for rugby than American Football, less stoppages to my knowledge. Also, let's just say I've accompannied enough people to hospital to say that it is pretty much war in a maul against people larger than yourself (which will happen unless you're pretty tall indeed.) Rules are mroe strictly enforced at scoolboy level but unfortunately scrums collapse much more.

So how was ''football'' better than the real deal again?

    Trivia time.

Which country won the last Olympic gold medal in Rugby? The last two, as a matter of fact.

    Or, to put it differently:

    Trivia time.
Which country lost the last two Olympic Rugby finals?

I think that you missed the statistics man 1. Football 2. Automovilism . Anyway... What does it haves to do if it's played professionally or not? You're looking for the most popular game in the world, the world popular means "of the people" not of the rich, or of the autos fans, of all the people, and football it's without doubt the most popular. And...Are you kidding me? Now i realize that it's not the most professionalized game . Seriously man, there're 22 players for team, with more than 20 teams average per country, with more than 50 countries that have professional football and more than 3 divisions that are also professional with another 20+ teams for every division. Come on!
Explain me the difference between motor sports and auto racing.

[QUOTEui]Anyway... What does it haves to do if it's played professionally or not?[/QUOTE]

    Maybe because I asked

Do any of you know what is the most popular proffessional sport? That is the most watched?
I think that was pretty clear.

Explain me the difference between motor sports and auto racing.
Your joking correct? OK Ill take you at your word. Auto Racing is for Automoblies while motor racing covers anything that is motorized including motorcycles, snow mobiles, boats, aircraft and wave runners just for starts. If you make it motor sports its the number 1 sport in every category even though some of you claim these guys are noteven atheletes.

Ok, you got me there. But then your assumption of profesionally=watched is wrong.

I'm still learning english so i didn't joke. And you're trying to group all of the different Motor Racing into just one category, when the stadist made the contrary.
Still the single event most watched is the World Cup of the FIFA, that makes football the most popular. If one is better than the other is just a matter of tastes.

    It is the #1?

I actually highly doubt that, even if you include all motor sports. Do you have any numbers to back up your claim that on a given weekend more people are watchong motorsports than football/soccer?
