A few years ago, there was a thread of the worst album covers ever. Well, the funniest one was "Devastatin Dave, the Turn Table Slave". The guy on the cover looked like a cracked-out Jermaine Jackson look alike, with the jerry curls, sun glasses, everything. I can't remember who suggested it (I'm thinking it was either Idaho, Gawain, Jag, or possibly Redleg) but they suggested that I'd ask Tosa to change my name from daveinkorea to Devastatin' Dave. Tosa graciously changed it for me. It was messed up at first because of the " ' " at the end of the word "devastatin". So we chopped off the " ' ". Now its working like a champ, unless I'm banned for whatever stupid thing I say next!!!

I had a tradition of sort of using my first name and modifying it for D&D (Gregolas), online Starcraft (Gregus), etc. For STW, I looked at Japanese names and their endings. Years and years ago, I was playing a Windows strategy game called World Empire, in which you were supposed to conquer the modern world country by country, in a TotalWar fashion, leading your faction as a general. I decided to name my general Muzaffer Postal, which means "The Glorious Boots". Then I bastardized the Muzaffer (glorious, originally مظفر) part and thus became Mouzafphaerre.

My name came from me starting to play the Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942, I was planning on playing the opposition(The Iraquis), since I expected nearly everyone else to always want to play as the americans, and I wanted to make a nickname that souned a little middle-eastern.
