MTW/VI.
But it's about to fall. RTW BI is taking it's place because it has a huuuge number of modding options.

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.
A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
Out of the options, it's RTW. But my gaming history lies in console games.
RTW, but that`s before I get my hands on GTA: SA.![]()
Runes for good luck:

VI Rocks, and the Mp community is growing once again!
Chelsea - Simply Champions!
RTK4Flintoff in multi-player
RTW
However I am a PC gaming fanatic so their are hordes of other games that come very close. e.g Far Cry, Doom 3 etc.
Other - Final Fantasy VII
closely followed by MTW : VI (with the Napoleonic mod)
It was not theirs to reason why,
It was not theirs to make reply,
It was theirs but to do or die.
-The Charge of the Light Brigade - Alfred, Lord Tennyson
"Wherever this stone shall lie, the King of the Scots shall rule"

"For God, For King and country, For loved ones home and Empire, For the sacred cause of justice, and The freedom of the world, They buried him among the kings because he, Had done good toward God and toward his house."
-Inscription on the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior
It's Morrowind, but when Oblivion is ready it will be the best. Then i think that Baldur's Gate I and II, and later RTW.
Born On The Flames
I voted Shogun - because when that was current I enjoyed playing that game MUCH more than rtw. I've probably over 500 hours on shogun (both SP and MP) while not even 50 in rome.
Common Unreflected Drinking Only Smartens
Shogun baby, always will be.
GARCIN: I "dreamt," you say. It was no dream. When I chose the hardest path, I made my choice deliberately. A man is what he wills himself to be.
INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.
Jean Paul Sartre - No Exit 1944
Shogun and VI about equally. I just get bored playing RTW. and as far as the modding options in BI, I'm just going to hold my tongue until I see it in action.
Currently Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
MTW/VI is pretty high up on my all time favorites list, it just doesn't get old![]()
Yes, Iraq is peaceful. Go to sleep now. - Adrian II
MTW/VI is still the greatest game ever invented.
Fighting for Truth , Justice and the American way
Alpha Centauri and Outcast rank among my favourites.
"The facts of history cannot be purely objective, since they become facts of history only in virtue of the significance attached to them by the historian." E.H. Carr
I used to play AoEAoK a lot, I think it's the game I played the most.
R:TW is my first TW game and since I played AoE longer as a year it might beat it, also because of the beautifull mods for RTW. (srry for bad English)

Mtw/vi
What? No Gah?
Well, I hate to admit it, but my favorite game of all time is probably Doom. It's such a stupid game, but it was the first game I ever played (I was computer-deprived as an early child, to which I ascribe my literacy.Sorry.) I still go back and play it sometimes.
Yeah, Doom was the first proper game I ever played which does mean it holds a special place.
"The facts of history cannot be purely objective, since they become facts of history only in virtue of the significance attached to them by the historian." E.H. Carr
If to choose from the list only - than MTW:VI
My favourite time period is that of MTW, but RTW is my favourtite engine.
