I would have to say Glasgow![]()
But apart from that Prague was really nice, wasn't too keen on Barcelona I thought the Gaudi buildings were, well, crap to be honest. I'm going to Dubrovnik in a month, anyone know anything about it?

haven't been to that much cities yet but I can say Paris is beautifull.
But I also love the atmosphere in smaller more southren cities...

Others, I would choose Budapest(really a great Medieval city), Wien(I love the gothic architecture), in Germany I only passed fast![]()
I also liked Rome. Really interesting.
Or Amiens, in France. Small town but very cute.

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.
A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
Amiens? arrrrrh, sad, dark, dirty town. Lille is much better. Paris not bad either, in the area..... I did like Cordoba & Quebec a lot, too. Montréal......erm, no, thanks.Originally Posted by edyzmedieval

El_slapper,
Sometimes yes. But most of the time, not very. I especially liked the Cathedral. Very beautiful.
I haven't seen Lille(yet). As for Paris, good. My parents are especially fond of Paris and Venice. I don't even wanna know why.

Adelaide - after living in Sydney, the clean, wide open Adelaide was wonderful. Nice cricket ground too![]()
Bath - wonderful old city. And had more hot chicks than any other place I've been
York - You can't move there for tripping over some historical building. Last time I went it was blanketed in snow, lovely![]()
"I request permanent reassignment to the Gallic frontier. Nay, I demand reassignment. Perhaps it is improper to say so, but I refuse to fight against the Greeks or Macedonians any more. Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive. I am not the young man I once was, but I swear before Jupiter Optimus Maximus that I shall see a world without Gauls before I take my final breath."

lol, to be honest it kinds of gets my back up when tour guides and locals tell you that you have to love it, I'm quite capable of making my own mind up.Originally Posted by Ser Clegane

Bath gets my pick, it's a wonderful place. I love Edinburgh as well.
The civic centre of Cardiff is also very pretty, especially at night.
We have a nice castle, too, which is right in the centre of town.

Carcasonne
We do not sow.
Well in terms of location, I would have to say Geneva. I mean everytime I look out of my bedroom window, I see this:
View from a friend of mine's balcony:
And out of the lounge, in good weather you can see Europe's highest mountain, the Mont Blanc.
And it also has a very nice Old Town
But architecturally speaking, I would choose Vienna for its beautiful Baroque and 19th century architecture.

Well, it's definately not Cairo.
I would go with Samarkand
