Hidden resources and new campaign map

Last night I read the tutorial that Myrddraal did about a new campaign map( thanks very much! ) and I have 2 questions.

I noticed a hidden resource in Sparta. Which is it?!

How can I make a completely new campaign map, not only new provinces?!

Huh?? The only way you can "notice" a hidden resource is to read its name in the regions file. You can't see hidden resources on the map. So if you "noticed" a hidden resource in a particular province, you are the only one who can tell us what resource it is.

I meant in the tutorial. Maybe I can make it appear. Any ideas?!

Oh, sorry, I didn't understand what you were saying. I can't help you, sorry. No idea how to create a map from scratch...

I suggest trying Mr Hide's TiME program for map changes, it makes things relatively simple to get started, though for more nuance you'll need to edit the files with a graphics editor.

It's for the Byzantium Total War mod because we need a new map.
Only the Balkans, Asia Minor, parts of Africa, and up to Iraq, and the Black Sea. So that's why I asked.
