Apart from the free beer and legalizing 'soft' drugs, I'd make Johnny Prescott the head of state, if only for the comic value of his mangling of the English language. ....

Here, as a warning, are 10 of Mr Prescott's fiercest assaults on the English language:

1 "I would like to make some start in my speech."

2 "The city of York already is a city, as is my own city of Hull is a city, and that I think is the definition of city and town."

3 "It's not the sanity of the picket lines that bothers me, it's the sanity of human life."

4 "On housing and charities you have difficulties about the financing of long-term finances affecting those housing, very real problems and I'm sure that we agree with them, but it was good for conference but it wasn't much action, it was an awful lot of getting the conference going, yes I will give way."

5 "The agreement is taking place. I tell him properly that if his judgement to make a judgement on the public interest and the safety of the community. That is not my judgement, it is the judgement given to the Attorney General."

6 "On the other hand, when I look at the urban cities and I look at how we use our money, there are issues where the need to buy issues, quite frankly, and it's bought at a price and a very discounted price, which we all agreed to be doing, but then it's sold at a very high price back to the state when they want to do something about improvements. Well, that's costing us literally millions of pounds."

7 "For the first time hypothecating any real increase in fuel duty to roads and public transport and I invite them to say if this hypothecation they are compared to adopt it."

8 "I think that we are prepared to tolerate that, because it's not a policy difference only, it's all those peoples who haven't got homes, the doctors and nurses, the people who are in homeless, they're the ones who've been carrying the pain for that."

9 "If I decide it is right to make a statement to this house, that's what I do, that's what I have done, and it didn't come from anybody else."

10 "The objectives remain the same and indeed it has been made clear by the prime minister in his speech yesterday that the objectives are clear, and the one about the removal of the Taliban is not something we have as a clear objective, it is, but is, but is possibly a consequence that as the Taliban clearly giving protection to Bin Laden and the UN resolution made it absolutely clear that anyone who finds them in that position declares themselves as an enemy and that clearly is a matter for these objectives."

    Ask Aristotle
    John Prescott
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy.”

To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticise.

"The purpose of a university education for Left / Liberals is to attain all the politically correct attitudes towards minorties, and the financial means to live as far away from them as possible."

Elect me as Primeminister. MP would be OK as a start. I'll make this country great again.

...only if she went back to being a brunette. Peroxide should be outlawed.

Winter to be colder, summer to be hotter, and less cloud at all times. A better football team. Fewer cars, provided I could still have one. Better trains. Gassing all grey squirrels, so the nice native red ones can come back. Staying on BST all year round and to hell with Scottish postmen, buy torches if you have to. Teaching Spanish rather than French in school. Banning advertising during childrens programmes. Making an hour of sport a day part of the school curriculum. Making it illegal to use the phrase "its political correctness gone mad". In fact, hell, making the Daily Mail illegal. 500% tax on all package holidays and budget flights, in the hope Europe might forget what barbarians we all are.

    That's enough for now.

    Beruit's idea is fine too.

Blimey I'd better buy a bullet proof vest then... there was a time when I would have sworn allegiance to the Union Flag but now I'd only make an oath to the cross of St George.

    what changed this?
It was not theirs to reason why,
It was not theirs to make reply,
It was theirs but to do or die.

    Time I suppose.

For me the country (Britain) is stale and uninspired - still suffering post imperial blues I suppose. I think that ending the union would invigorate its component parts - all of them, but especially England. Give us back a sense of purpose.

Also the current British government has played a large part in changing my views. Scottish and Welsh parliaments...that's fine. What about England? No English parliament? This is not an oversight - it's a conspiracy. "Crazy Frog" Prescott's lunatic plans to carve up England too - thankfully the good old Geordies gave him a poke in the bulgey eye on that one. But don't be surprised if they try to find another way.

And the at the end of the day (and at the beginning) I'm English first, and proud of it. Ask any Scot or Welsh person...90% of them would call themselves Scottish or Welsh first and British second. The Englsh should get real, get up to date and start doing the same thing.

So whilst I still have enormous respect for the Union Flag, I'd only swear to the heart of it. Bring on the revolution, bring on the velvet divorce.

    IMO ;)

So would be happy if Britian was reistabilsed to her former self as the greatest empire on Earth, i most certainley would, what really makes me angry is that we have muslim preachers of hate in the UK and nothing is done about them, that makes me sick literaly.

    Ace.

As for Holland, politicians with some backbone would be most welcome. A more effective legal system, without all this crap about 'I'm so sorry for killing this poor bloke for no reason outside a club' getting a lower term in prison. In general the bureaucracy of Holland, while being something of a cliché among Dutch political rhetoric, is of ridiculous proportions, and needs an extremely stringent overhaul. More willingness for various groups (Muslims being one example) to take part in the decision-making process, rather than claiming it's not their problem; the current administration isn't doing much to promote this, and is partially their fault. Less political apathy among the Dutch.

And most obviously, an end to this pathetic government of Balkenende. Please put it out of it's misery...
