So why shouldn't night battle be added in regular RTW ?

If violence didn't solve your problem... well, you just haven't been violent enough.
Maybe there's a problem with adding the night attacker trait to the generals?
i dont think that's it........i dont know what's it.....unless you count stupid in.....

The whole point of the expansion is to add extras, i mean STW and MTW had features in their expansions that where added to the original campaign, i mean the whole reason i bought viking invasion was for the new features. Come on CA give the people what they want make RTW better.
One of the things I used to like about Grigsby's Pacific War strat game was the random night action/day action feature.
Surface actions occurred at night 90+% of the time -- which was fairly true to life. Air combat was during the day.
Every once in a blue moon, say once every 1000 engagements or so the reverse would occur. So your precious fast carriers might -- just might -- suddenly be facing battleships at night. Added just a little bit of drama.
RTW should do something similar. I wonder if the MM, EB, RTR folks will do it? Historical night battles were way rare, but it was a bit more frequent in siege warfare. Flaming missiles at night would be fun.

A nightime siege would be quite spectacular. Flaming arrows and missiles with soldiers asaulting the walls carrying torches.
