Not much since moving away from home (large farm) to go to school. During the first week of deer season my school could have technically closed due to lack of students, but never did.

I hunt birds mostly. Ducks, quail, pheasant.. that type of thing. I like bird hunting because I enjoy working with the dogs. Ive got a really nice lab that ive been working on for years that can do both duck hunts and infield hunts. People have offered substantial money for her puppies but I wont breed her.

Ive also done some big game hunting in the Western US and in Africa, but those were special trips. Around here, deer hunting is big, but I find it somewhat boring..

The grouse hunting season starts on the Glorious 12th (12th of August) here. One day, I hope to own a few hundred acres of grouse muir, and shoot down my dinner, or do on some deer-stalking land and shoot a nice red deer...

No offense, Strike, but if I were in Texas and I had some time on my hands and a car under my butt, I would be driving behind that convoy of buses and trying to get someone safe and dry out of New Orleans. That is what Turkish friends of mine did after the earthquake there in 1999. Just filled up their Mercedes (they are good cars for a rough ride) and drove up to the nearest town that had been hit to get people out.
