    Default Info on Watches

I work in a watch store and have the opportunity to buy a brand new Louis Erard watch at a serious discount due to their company coming into my companys' store (Tourneau Watch Gear).

    if a watch costs $2,500; we get it for $2500/3 = $833 - THEN $833 - 30% = $584 + TAX = $635 TOTAL

directly from the shop in switzerland
2 year warrantee on the mechanism
$50 for a $200 watch winder by wolf designs

the 2 watches that i am lookign at are:
    43 203 AA01

    and
    43 203 PVD02

both are ETA automatic movements with exhibition back plates, sapphire crystals, Dubois-Depraz day, date, month, Sun/moon modules, 50m water resistance

i am changing out the bands to alligator grain leather rather than the lizard and bands only cost me 20 bucks a piece (i will have a few)

what i am looking for are consumer reports on these watches because even 600 bucks is ALOT to this college student. Also - i want to see how much others can get them for. if anyone knows of a comprehensive watch nut forum, please let me know

btw- look through the site and tell me which models you like the best - from any collection

Personally, if it matters, I think the 769 250 AA02M from the Heritage Automatic collection looks good - but then, I quite like a minimalist sort of watch, with a metal strap (fabric and leather ones tend to smell).

Don't have any aspirations - they're doomed to fail.
