Hi all fellow monasterians,

I've been organizing some old books last week and a book on Peter the Great (Czar of Russia) caught my attention. I don't know if it was because of the books engaging and easy-to-read style or because the alternative was a thick and dense computer architecture book it quickly got my interest and I've finished reading it on Friday. The subject of the russian modernization still interests me and I would like to get more info on Peter's biography (more detailed than the wikipedia, that is...) and specially his younger years, and/or recommend any good books on the subject or the Russo-Tartar war or the Russo-Swedish war.

Thanks
