What was it about the military that you liked? Would something like the emergency services or the coastguard be similar?

Its long overdue that I stop depending on dad, but I just havent come across anything that makes me enthusiatic enough to change my relatively boring, yet comfortable life.
I can understand that but on the other hand there is always a reason not to do something. You have to get out there a bit in order to discover interesting things you will want to do. How will you discover your passion for life as a gay rights activist if you never hang out in a San Fran coffee bar?
