(This thread is Off-Topic stuff and should be moved ASAP, but while waiting for that...)
Yes, the "whole game in real time" meaning that they've forgone the strategic level of gaming STW introduced and brought in a base-building system in the best traditions of Dune 2.
What's even more appalling is that they're actually trying to turn that into a pro:
"...the difference between WK and games like Dark Omen and Shogun, is that WK is set in a full on real time environment. If you find yourself unable to assault the enemies troops because he has pikemen entrenched on top of a hill, for instance, then you can adjust your economy, recruit some cannon/seige weapons or more archers, or whatever is appropriate to dislodging your enemy. With the WK realtime tactical system, players will be constantly trying to outwit each other. Remember, in WK your army does not remain fixed. You can update it, change it and bring in the necessary 'tool for the job' in realtime. In Shogun, or Dark Omen, once the battle has started, you cannot bring in reinforcements, or change your order of battle very easily. In warrior kings you can, because strategy, tactics and economy are all integrated into a single game environment."
Thus, another knight-rushing game. Well, I'm glad it didn't turn out good, since I'm boycotting Sierra till 2262 anyway. Babylon 5: Into the Fire in memoriam.
