Question About GnomeEditor - Need Help Please

Hi.

I cannot understand this statement :

"This column is linked from Linked To workshet, which is itself linked to the summary and unit def sheets. Please edit the factors there"

I can't find the "summary" and "unit def sheets" and don't know what to do there. Please forgive my ignorance and explain this me.

I suspect these are comment lines, written by the CA developers, for the benefit of their co-workers. All the unit combat stats carry the same warning, which says to use "the spreadsheet" for all alterations. File links mean any edit made by one person is instantly caried across the network to everybody else's copy of the spreadsheet.

Gnome just takes whatever text it finds at the top of each column and presents it to you, so you have some clue as to what the column is for. In this case, it's not something you have to worry about.

You're not missing any files, either. The spreadsheet mentioned there was probably never released into the public domain by CA and all the modders have to do is edit the text files. Because the formatting looks horrid in a text editor, Gnome was put together to make it at least look like a spreadsheet again.
