When I watch the intro movie on RTW, it shows massive armies on it. Also when I see pics, it shows massive armies too. when I play the game I get no more than 2000 troops. Why is that?

Sure a battle like that is possible but it would require one hell of a computer and your friends would have to have a computer like that too.

Although not a huge diffarence, try setting the unit scale to Huge.
That make a 2000 men battle to 4000.
Or play custom battle with 4vs4 with full stack units.
It sttuters like hell, but the battle will be HUGE.

I´ve fought against three full stacks (+2000 in each) against Macedon. This, plus my +2000 units maked this the largest battle I´ve ever fought in RTW. My 3-4 gold chevron Spartan hoplites (8) held the line while my Cretan archers (8) BBQ´d the enemy. My cav mopped up all routers. No more than one hundred Macedonians lived to tell their grandchildren about this humiliation.
