How to transfer the game between two pc
I've reached a very important step in a game.
My computer wont support smooth games anymore so i bought a new one.
How can i transfer all the game (or just saved games and related info) to conclude the battle onto the new pc ?
Can you remind me if i must apply patch 1.1 to MTW prior to installing Viking expansion or after ?

I think that the files you need are in the MTW folder 'savegames'.
And don't install 1.1 after you load VI; install 2.01 to VI.

As Ichi says, you need to copy the files in the "SaveGames" subfolder under your M-TW installation. However, if you've been playing v1.0, and want to continue those old campaigns, DON'T install VI - the saved games won't work with the update. You can, however, install another copy of M-TW to a different location on your hard drive, and update it - starting new campaigns, of course.Originally Posted by Terzo

Patch it to the same level as you played on. You can check the patch level on the menu screen on the bottom left of the screen.
Hopefully you don't have a nvidia video card in the new machine because in that case you are in for a "quest for the right version driver"
Don't erase anything on the old machine until everything is fine on the new!!! If I were you I'd even burn the whole directory of MTW to a DVD (or at least the savegames to a CD) I assume you did not use any mod, did you?

Do you have a USB Data Link Cable?

This will allow you to connect two pc's with a usb connection to copy your files over to the new pc.

Or there again, you could use a USB Flash Drive to copy your files over.
Small in size but very effective. 128MB 256MB or 1Gig
