    Default Modding Custom battle set up

    I've currently got the barbarians building stone walls in the campaign game but is there any way to get them to be able to use stone walls in the custom battle? I'm trying to build their walls but testing them is difficult without being able to set barbarians with stone walls in the custom section.

    any ideas?

    Have you tried editing descr_sm_settlements.txt? Add the last few Roman entries to the barbarians.

    This may very well be hardcoded. I read in some thread that barbarians can only advance to the third techtree level. The 4th and 5th is locked by hardcode. BI will give more freedom so you might want to wait for that.

    Doesn't descr_sm_settlement.txt refer to strategic map settlements?

    Have you tried creating a battle in the battle editor rather than through a custom battle? I have no idea if it would work, but it's another possibility.

    Yeah it does but I'm pretty sure its necessary for the battle map too because the ai won't build buildings its told it can't build.

    Hoggy said he got the walls working in the campaign so then they must not be hardcoded.
