Tsk, tsk. Touch a nerve? And here you are not over in the other thread defending PJ's assertion that Ann Coulter is a satirist, and Gawain saying that the left needs to lighten up and learn to take a joke? Now that truly is funny.

This thread has one valid point - there are quite a lot of "Katrina-threads" currently.

Of course due to the scale of what is happening this is understandable, however, it would be nice if anybody who is going to start a new thread about this topic would take the time to look at the existing threads to see whether it is really necessary to start a new thread.

I do not think that we need a new thread for each piece of news that comes up.

Over the next days the moderating staff will take the liberty to merge/close redundant threads to keep the Backroom from being cluttered - this does however not mean that Katrina and its implications could/should not be discussed

This thread is closed as the points have been made and it seems to derail into personal attacks of the left vs. right type.
