ROMAN EMPIRE : a mod idea

Just realized ... we have almost all what we need :

- the map is the same.
- the provincies can be the same ( not exact but correct)
- units exists (italian or byz infantry look like roman legions)

Just need to :
change flags, texts, names, starting locations and some graphics (events) in order to have a ROMAN EMPIRE MOD.

What do you think about that idea ?
btw, does it already exist ?

Oh sorry, just realized they are only covering the downfall period.

I also think a Mod about the Roman Empire would be very interresting.

But it shouldnt only cover the imperial period.
It could cover the Punic Wars, Caesars Conquest of Gaul and the subsequent civil war and the imperial period with the wars against the German and Dacian tribes.

So lets hope somebody will make the effort.

Well shouldn't the Legions be armed with javelins?
Almugharvars or Murabitin seems to be the most obvious choices.

Actually, Path to the Dark Ages covers the entire times of the Roman Empire and it is split into three packs, the first is the downfall, the second is the founding and the third is the stuff between.
