Default Personal music selection in mods

I've recently installed the Mundus Magnus v.2 mod. However, my attempt to swap the RTW vanilla music with my own music failed miserably. I find this rather awkward, since I had no problem in adding new music pre-Mundus Magnus v.2: Create new folder in Data/Sounds folder, add selected music files to the new folder, add link to new folder in descr_sounds_music.txt. Finally, delete events.dat from Sounds folder.

Is there a more complicated process in adding new music to "provincial campaign" mods?

Uh, you did link to the specific files not only the folder, right?

Hm? did you ctd? if not, could you tell more about it? what is the new folder name? if it's not 'music' maybe that's the cause.
Or maybe the descr_sounds_music is wrong...like not writing the folder (data/sounds/music), or writing the wrong filename, or playing a different culture (put music in eastern culture but playing barbarian).

Or maybe you can just wait until the music pops up...

I didn't ctd, but rtw plays the original music during gameplay.
