Anyone playing Battlefield 2

Anybody? Would be good to catch uo with anyone from .org online, now that i've finally persuaded my PC to inastall BF2, and allow me to patch it up to the current version.

I do, at least 2 hours everyday. I might be a bit late for ya though. I play around 2400 GMT, or 7 pm ET. If its not too late, i can try to join you up, we'll create a squad and blast peeps to oblivion...

Unless it's something mindless where stupidity is expected (read: counterstrike), I avoid multiplayer like the plague unless it's with a close-knit group of friends (of which I have none) and the game is Operation Flashpoint.

Same here. I look for the lower possible(below 100), even though i had great game(lag free) on server where ping was +/- 300.

I play the battlefield 2 demo

I bought Battlefield 2 but I can only play Singleplayer for the following reasons: I have 4 PC's (my dad and I build them for a hobby ,) I have the main gaming beast 64-Bit, latest Gigabyte Dual channel motherboard etc. etc. etc. Unfortunaly this PC is not connected to the internet so I am unable to play online becuase the one PC that is hooked up to the internet is about half the power so no online BF2 for me.

A simple way of solving this obviously would be connecting the best machine to the internet but I am afraid that is my father's PC and he doesn't care for viruses and such like and doesn't trust anti-virus software.

I will have to save up some cash my fellow BF2 players

BF 2 sucks i didnt buy it to play it i bought it to play the mods that come with it i am currently waiting for some mods to come out for BF 2 particuly the ones i have enjoyed from BF 1. I dont think any mods will be coming out for BF 2 till x-mas time though. However those of you who like HL 2 Day of defeat will be coming out this month for HL 2 so i will be playing that till FH and DC2 mods come out for BF 2.

I liked Bf1. I generally like 1st person shooters, especially the rainbow six series. (hoping for a collectors box of rainbow six )

though I don't have much time next to shogun atm. I only have stw installed now.

I play it occasionally, but only occasionally, because it's the only game I've ever played that can make me frustrated enough to slam on the desk and shout curse words at the top of my lungs. sneaking up on a sniper and then lagging so bad that you run right in front of him and he shoots you in the head is not something I like to call fun.

a long time ago , and bought it in the US.

The collectors edition contained , regular R6 + eagle watch expansion, R6:Rogue spear + Urban assault exp. + covert Ops.

The game was good IMO, for it's exciting gameplay... when you're moving silently for a minute or what, my heart starts to beat a bit faster, when a hard sound turns my screen black... and my heatbeat red..

in US?? well I don't often come there (never have) hope I sometime spot such thing in here too

I looooove BF2. It's just bliss. My biggest problem with the game is that I dislike many of the maps, especially the China vs. US ones, they have a forced, 'gamey' feel to them and seem terribly unrealistic. On the other hand I love most of the US vs. MEC maps, they get top marks for design and because of that the ebb and flow of combat feels more realistic on those maps, especially the city ones.

About 2/3rds of the time I play the Spec Ops class with the remainder taken up by the Assault class. I much prefer the AK-47 or 101 in the game to the M16-A2. Why? I can't stand the M16's 3 round burst mode. I already discipline myself to 2 or 3 round bursts in combat but when a guy comes out of nowhere and dances in front of your face you need full auto mode.

I can't wait to see the equivalent of a Desert Combat mod released for BF2.

now not so since RTW:BI just came out and so did Fahrenheit and so did The Sims 2 : Nightlife =P...that and i have work
