"Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them?"

Four stage strategy from Yes, Minister:
Stage one we say nothing is going to happen.
Stage two, we say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it.
Stage three, we say that maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do.
Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.

    Sperka/spmetla

I have enabled direct access to the downloads,
Hopefully tomorrow will grant me some time to actually edit some of the pages,
although i like the direct download capability and will most likely leave it in place! http://www.totalwar.org/upload/MTWupload/

I just grabbed it and had a quick go as the English and it seems much harder than the standard early one. Those pesky Welsh, Scots and Irish aren't just lands to be grabbed now, but actually represent quite a challenge to subdue and keep happy. Everyone looks considerably beefed up so an early land grabbing blitz will be all but impossible. Great stuff.

it's been moved to the site's download section,
the direct upload section allows everyone to download files as fast as they are uploaded,

periodically i clean out the folder and place links to the files in the relevent download areas of www.totalwar.org

(if i didn't you have pages of files to scroll through)

Still going, the factions in general are much more stable and durable than the standard campaign. I teamed up with the Spanish and broke HRE's back quite easily (HRE had already eaten most of France). Spain then prospered and became HUGE, giving the Muslims a severe beating (a little aside, can you change the points awarded for conquest? A much beefed up Spain has no problems holding it's own so 1 per province taken seems a little generous) but I harried them endlessly with large sweeps of spies until rebellions drained their resources then I had a winnable fight. Currently at war with the Spanish, huge battles (with the AI still managing to field decent units, after some strife) but I got pikemen first so am doing rather well.

Overall, in this late stage it's still a much better campaign than the supplied early one, but I prefer fighting strong Europeans right from the start without any quick land grabbing.

That is was in the original, I've found it impossible in your version.
