Default Making A General Immortal to Time?

Is there anyway that the game files can be modded for a specific General, such as a starting out General from the start of a new Campaign, so that he will never die, & live on to rule his empire?

Or is it simply, around 128 years old is the maximum possibility, by whenever the general dies, opening the last game save file, so he lives again, etc etc.?

I wouldnt mind seeing what traits a General who never dies, who is ruling the faction would get! Any ideas as to if this is possible to make them immortal?

And no, I do not men invulnerable, as to where they cannot be killed in battle, for he'll never fight in battle, at least hand to hand, prehaps in some battles with a full stack military behind him, & only a few hundred peasant rebels to slaughter, just for his amusement, etc.

Well I know that generals go through a series of 'checks' after they reach a certain age. If you could find where the terms of these checks are defined, then you should be able to either turn them off, or make them not start until age 125 (which your general would never reach anyway)

If anyone knows where the paramiters for the checks are or any other way to make 'immortal' generals, please post because I would love to have one or 2 of these guys too...

Well it would be a fun change in the game now, since we've been playing for so long, & Barbarian Invasion is not yet out, we can try one last quick campaign with this, a leader who never dies, at least not from a "natural" death.

As long as you support him only in battles that you "know" that you can positivly win, he'll get more & more traits.

I'm curious to see how many & what kinds of traits that he would get!

So as he stated above, anyone else know what to do?

Start him out as 128 years old so as soon as you hit end turn he will be zero years old. he'll at least last you 57 years as I think 56 years old is when a general can have a natural death (rare) and start to become common at 60 years old.

A good idea, but not what I am looking for.

I want a General that will "never die of natural causes", if possible. The main question is, is it possible, has it been tried/looked into?, & if it is possible, how do we achieve it to try it out for something different?

Furthermore, is there anyway to get a General named to yourself, such as for me, Aaron of Sparta? I tried it earlier, but the game crashed, etc. I also tried giving a starting out General higher Commander, Leadership, Management, etc, but it wouldnt show it when the game started, any ideas for that as well?

    Agreed.

Although I wouldn't really want to see the treacherous generals in Barbarian Invasion live forever.

I am not in a hurry to end up like Gallienus, or Claudius Gothicus.

So no one here has the vaguest idea as to how or if its possible to modifiy anyone of your starting Generals so they never die from a natural death, i.e., age?

Now given, ensure that they do not catch the plague, & ensure that they are never lost in combat, only send them out with a full stack of your latest troops against a much weaker opposition force, to ensure his survival. (that is if anyone can figure this out!)
