Does anyone just HATE a faction.

Does anyone just love to just ANNIHILATE an entire faction. I hear a lot of people hate the French so I was just wondering. Does a faction just beg for it like a red headed, four eyed asthmatic being in a dodgeball game?

Does a faction for some reason just make you snap and go Medieval on its Arse? (Pun intened and sorry for the tonedown, I don't know if the A word is acceptible)

Please tell about it.

Oh, to answer my own question. Its the first faction to use an army mostly made of Horse Archers. I just go insane against it because my Campaign playing style just doesn't counter it very well. IT JUST DRIVES ME NUTS to chase them up and down the field.

It doesn't matter on the faction but its often a Muslum or Golden Horde one that hits me first with hordes of HAs. After a quick few years to build to counter it, I go ALL OUT on it. I leave nothing alive, not even prisoners.

Its sooooo bad that there is no multiplayer campaign... I would love to play the Turks (or Hungarians) against you. In the beginning years my Turkish army is 75-90% horse archers (later Turcoman Horse v2 from Tripoli)

Hold on a minute. I thought long and hard and I didn't find my signature offensive, whatsoever. You being a little too nitpicky is getting a little extreme. I understand bad language and you being annoyed by that but I didn't bash a countrys' people, culture, or even army. Just because I asked "If a certain historical figure would have burnt a certain city in France in 1942 to the ground, would anybody care." If someone wrote that being offensive I would have both removed it and publicily appologise for my lack of taste.

You are making this forum, at least for me, not a fun diversion of time or good source of information and its really frusterating to me. If there was another good forum board like this for this game I would have already left but even now I am considering it. I doubt I will continue to write much longer so I can honestly say. Get a life, I spend maybe twenty minutes writing and reading here right before bed or when I wake up - my life doesn't revolve around it. I mean if you have to be so nitpicky and so gungho about jumping in to censor a stray post then really, isn't about time to go out and find something else to enjoy in life as well. If your wife - or in your case cat, I don't think your married - not making you happy, then find someone else. Hate your job, same thing. Bored with the monotony of every day activities - go camping or try something else thats exciting. Now I am not talking about the handicapped person that writes here, for him, I am really glad he found something that makes him happy and I hope he continues to live a happy life.

I truly don't care if you ban me anymore, in fact I'm pretty sure someone would welcome it but if you look who starts some of the good threads, I would say your at least losing someone that adds something here.

Also, my country has fought wars just to be able to say what we want to say without being oppressed by people like you. I don't know where your from but as long as it was appropriate, or even just a little distasteful but not OVERLY OFFENSIVE - I don't really see the harm. Now if you excuse me, I have to get my books ready to burn, they might have bad language too and I don't want to be thrown out of my house too.

No, I know how to counter it but not very well. I would probably get creamed. Sorry about the post above, be he also sends warnings to my email and private messages me. Its become a real pain to constantly watch what I say so its not even slightly offensive - and even then I get edited or warned.

Well, thats off topic and I am sorry. Yeah, horse archers are a bane of mine. I can fight them but I think if someone had a brain to use them I would get owned. I just honestly want my army to fight someone elses without resorting to hit and run tactics. I mean, I view that as being able to talk yourself out of a fight. It doesn't always work and when it fails you will go down because you have nothing to back yourself up with.

If it were just that, I wouldn't care. I really wouldn't but its been constant when I didn't say anything offensive at all. If I were childish, and I am not, I would probably post nudie pictures and cuss up and down just to get banned to annoy him. Sure, it was is annoying at the least, but it has become all the time with emails, private messages and now even here in the message board. Like I said, I don't think I will post anymore. Faction I hate? The French, they get alot of rich lands, nice valour bonuses and cheaper CMAA. they are always a pain in the rear-end if you start on that side of the map and you can't ignore them. This sounds awfully familiar to RL I should stop before I get edi. . .

I have only played a few campaigns so far so these might change in the future. Perhaps I dislike Egypt (they tend to get quite strong), the Turks (I like Rome I guess) (they are seljuk Turks right?), and... the mongols (I cannot play in the east in early without being obbsessed with their arrival for 70 to 50 years, which is an unfortunate detraction from the gameplay)

The papacy is annoying but is usually mostly harmless. The exception of course is after successive pope comeback tours where the pope'll keep gaining land after summoning strong high tech armies from the ether when he reappears. In my games they don't get attacked too often and I usually reduce them to their papal states and work to cast them off into inescapable dept. It is regrettable that the game is so inflexible. When playing byzantium most of eastern and southern Europe becomes 90 or over percent orthodox the pope would likely cease to be a huge significant factor politically to be able to gather so many soldiers with no land or sea connextion to catholic ruled areas in Britain, upper France and Scandanavia.

Well, I regularly get annoyed and hindered by the Italians, mainly because of their advanced navy. If I can weaken them early for the Sicilians/Germans/French to finish off, then I generally will.

The Horde! I get my nice Polish empire at peace with everyone and they have to come piss in my pool. I fight dirty when it comes to the horde. I buy off every horde unit I can. I out spies in the provences they take to get the people going. There is no mercy for any horde captured.

Did I mention I dislike the horde!

Seeing how deleting some posts in this thread to keep it on topic and open would probably result in much more complaints about censorship and my style of moderating, I'll just close it, feel free to open another one just like it but stay on topic there.

It was indeed a generic notice since I've had to close some threads whih started like this but ended in an all out flame war about which real-life country was worst.
