    Default So I've made my unit...

    I have my unit created and they work everywhere in the game. The problem is that they are pathetic in combat - despite being a exact copy of Lancers' combat abilities and armor! I checked the unit info files with gnome editor and its ok, even in the game it says "excellent attack","very good defence" etc... Whats my problem?

    What do you mean unit coding? They are an exact clone of Lancers except called Chevaliers (I made them for the French considering their lack of Late Era Knights). I used the unit creation guide in the guides forum, so i did every step in that. Maybe there is something left out in that guide?

    I think he was suggesting you cut and paste the section of the unitprod file (or files???) which you edited into a reply, so people can look at it.

    I know the unitprod files use the Tab character as a column separator but, the last time I tried to type a table of figures into a reply, the forum software stripped out all the excess space characters I used to make the columns line up. I just want to test something here.....

    1) Two brackets separated by 20 space characters.

    2) Two brackets separated by 3 Tab characters.

    Hmm, the tab character isn't even accepted in this editor - instead, it cycles the highlight across various buttons (like 'submit reply') within the page.

    That means you might be able to paste in the text but the editor will probably strip out all the tabs, so spotting missing colmns will be tricky. Try it anyway.
