BKS is usually good for something funny, though Beirut's axe is impressive.
What are your favorite "closed" messages from a moderator?

Beirut's dry interjection 'Going, going...' in some thread. Didn't close it, I believe, but is worth mentioning.

"Aw crap... I forgot that I have to actually close a topic in order for it to be closed."
I forget the thread- and the moderator- but that was really funny, especailly since it took 6 hours for him to realise his mistake.
BKS, I believe.
I remember that one. It was BKS.
I laughed out loud when BKS wrote "Teh Closezor!" in the "BP is my little brother" thread.
I admit I'm partial to Beirut's axe. It's very.....authoritative.
Definatly Beirut's axe
things get closed so quickly nowadays, im not sure if its the type of posts or the moderators that has changed, the only threads i remember closing in the mtw days were absolute stupidity (like the first .org underground spam fest) and things that were geniunely offensive.

Underground Spam Fest?!
Yeah. The axe is impressive.
My favourite was when King Henry celebrated his 1000th post.
Beirut said:
"This day should remain a lifetime
Frozen"
(it was something like that)... Man, it was totally LMAO..... The best reply I ever saw....

When you begin to excersise censorship - it becomes so attractive
Like the axe the best , but I like the occaisional dry BKS closing comment too
BKS closing the 'speak Bartix' spam thread, in Bartixian.
Brilliant.
there are actually two threads on page four where mods said closed... and it wasn't (one by BKS and one by Beirut :D

beirut closed one of his Dont Swear threads with plumbs or sumthing like that...that was funny
Geoffrey S 17:57 15/09/05
That axe sure is a deterrence to any thought of spamming.
The Stranger 18:06 15/09/05
about what axe are yall talking
Mikeus Caesar 18:43 15/09/05
I love the closed messages! I read closed threads that i wouldn't otheriwse read, just to see the close message. Anyway, my favourite message was BKS's in the
What type of school are you on thread. Great.
Reverend Joe 18:56 15/09/05
I am amazed this thread has been left open this long. Every time I look at it, I expect to see a giant ax at the bottom.
Why would I close this? It's flattering.
The Stranger 18:59 15/09/05

I see cracks in the cold Moderator facade...
"Hello... is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me- is there anybody at home?"
Steppe Merc 20:14 15/09/05
I love the wordless screams in that song, but particullarly Great Gig in the Sky. It's so perfect...
The 3rd link Gertgregoor posted is Hilarious, and it didn't even need an axe..
TheSilverKnight 00:15 16/09/05
i have never seen any funny closed messages on this site
in my view, funny closed messages require funny image links that go along with them. which sadly, the mods here do not include. i'd show a few examples but i'm afraid the ones i have are a little too crass for the Frontroom
