BKS is usually good for something funny, though Beirut's axe is impressive.

What are your favorite "closed" messages from a moderator?

Beirut's dry interjection 'Going, going...' in some thread. Didn't close it, I believe, but is worth mentioning.

"Aw crap... I forgot that I have to actually close a topic in order for it to be closed."

I forget the thread- and the moderator- but that was really funny, especailly since it took 6 hours for him to realise his mistake.

things get closed so quickly nowadays, im not sure if its the type of posts or the moderators that has changed, the only threads i remember closing in the mtw days were absolute stupidity (like the first .org underground spam fest) and things that were geniunely offensive.

    Yeah. The axe is impressive.

I love the closed messages! I read closed threads that i wouldn't otheriwse read, just to see the close message. Anyway, my favourite message was BKS's in the What type of school are you on thread. Great.

I am amazed this thread has been left open this long. Every time I look at it, I expect to see a giant ax at the bottom.

i have never seen any funny closed messages on this site

in my view, funny closed messages require funny image links that go along with them. which sadly, the mods here do not include. i'd show a few examples but i'm afraid the ones i have are a little too crass for the Frontroom
