Beating you last year is merely half the story.

Having you suffer the greatest choke in the history of recorded sports is the part I like rewatching over and over and over and over....

Prole, I trust you, I nbelieve in you so I ask you this:

baseball, what's the appeal of watching it???

I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying that I don't get it.

You heathen! All kidding aside, what is attraction of cricket or football or rugby for that matter?

Prole, I think I'm going to go home and sacrifice a chicken tonight (for our relief pitching staff). Who would have thought back in May that Foulke going out would be a good thing? God, I just hope El Pappy and Manny can keep swatting it like they have been.

I have a .mpeg of the A-rod karate chop. When times are rough and I just can't seem to enjoy life,I fire it up. Makes me warm and fuzzy all over, every time...

As I told the Yankee fan that I go to the gym with... us lettng the Yankees back in this September was to give them a taste of how it feels to have a division snatched out from under you in the final week. Can't wait to get you bozos in our house in Beantown, MOP.

It's hard to explain, but I love watching pitch counts, looking at statistical splits, the strategies for substitutions, etc. I also love the historical aspects (comparing modern day guys to Babe Ruth, etc).

It just seems alot more cerebral over all than the NFL or soccer...

I'll never try to convince someone how interesting it can be, I remember how boring it used to be for me. But one day the stats started making sense and I was hooked.

Have you got a chance to watch Paplebon or Hansen pitch? I love watching these guys my age and younger pitching 95 mph in relief. Hopefully they'll carry us through.

Huge games tonight for both the Yankees and Sox... This is that time of year when I can feel my hair greying with each twist and turn of the standings between these two teams.

If you're right AggonyKing I will cry with joy, then will not be able to speak to me girlfriend for a month

The implosion is embarrassing but I'd rather play bad in September than play bad in October. Besides Cleveland was playing .750 ball, you can't keep that up, there's laws against it 35 of the 48 contiguous states

It doesn't matter. The question arround here is when will the Royals break their single season loss record (that they set last year)

It also doesnt help having to watch the Chiefs get dismantled on national television. I need to be on suicide watch.

    cricket?football?

no good to watch, just to play.

Rugby though is fun, exciting and unpredictable to watch.

I imagine you could say the same about baseball but I don't really get it yet. I understand the enjoyment of playng it just not that of watching it.

Other than the tradition, camaraderie and such that goes with any sport I must admit that my ability to comprehend the enjoyment of baseball is low.

Tests? Whoopee! I can't wait! Get that first test out of the way, smoke them, and then relax until the next ones arrive. (No, I'm not usually this arrogant but this semester my classes are easy [perk of being a 5th year].)

Oh wait... Baseball? That is still being played? I thought Selig had tucked his tail between his legs and slunk back under that rock with Steinbrenner to hide until everyone is forced to care about the Yankees and who-cares play the world series in December.
