What game should WESTWOOD make next?

What about Total Annihilation ? It basically had the same system, but less boring, and with 2 resources (energy and iron). TA:K was just a step backward compared to TA. Btw, I can't wait for the next TA-like game, Supreme Commander. It was presented during the E3 show, and it looked like it would trample to death any RTS standing on its way, stupid Westwood games included.

I believe the first game to be considered an RTS is Herzog Zwei released for the Genesis in 1990.

To me RTS, like adventure games, is pretty much a dead genre...I think Westwood should try to make a strategy game that's as original as possible so I voted other.

If Westwood hadn't been taken in by the Borg, then i would want them to remake C&C. That game just kicked ass, and would kick even more ass in full 3D.

In my opinion, TA sucks. And besides, I'd much rather have a fantasy setting than a futuristic one.

They should make a decent game, that would be a nice change...

I loved the original CnC and Red Alert, but all the others did very little for me. Then again, I'm one of the few people on the planet who doesn't like the AoE series.

Awh I'm going with Red Alert 3. I used to play red alert 2 for hours upon hours when I was like 12. It was basically my life until I discovered Alcohol and Females, and even then I just mixed the three :)

Westwood is dead, but that doesn't mean the CnC franchise will die out necessarily...like my heroes at Bethesda who recently bought out the rights to produce Fallout: 3

However, LucasArts did decide to take on some of the chief designers from WestWood for their newest project Star Wars:Empires At War

A shame Westwood closed its doors in March 2003. They had some really good games.

I didnt even realise westwood had closed shop...

Unfortunately, I think the new star wars game is gonna be a 'placate the masses' abomination. I hope to god it wont but to paraphrase...@I sense a great disturbance here'...
