When i hit the chat to bring it up, it only gives me a window about the size of the chat room with the .org background that has one button. That button says "close window".

I was wondering about the warning level issue because i used to be able to access the chat room.

Ah, I have the same problem. You have to install Java to make it work.

The highly annoying thing for me is, that Java always quits working again after several weeks. Microsofts Windows XP, doesn't include proper Java support by itself, and fails to continue working properly when you install the recommended Sun Java. I'm struggling with that for over a year now, maybe it's just me.

Well, I downloaded the whole Java run-time environment, and it seems to work very well. The little bugs and glitches I had with the chat before are now gone.

Well I don't think it will be that much of a punishment. It's like telling someone that if they misbehave they don't get the chance to go into a blank, empty room

That must be the problem then, because I havent changed any settings that I know of during the last time I successfully accessed the Chat Room and the time it started malfunctioning.

That was a joke I hope.

And if not, I'll help out anyway (probably making a fool of myself)

There is a link near the UserCP link that says Chat(Java). That's the chat room...

I've never used it, but that's it

Now, please don't make fun of me because your post was a joke...
