    Default Battle problem

My problem is that I can't play battles. Every time I click Fight battle on a battle map or so camera zooms on the location on the battle (ok) and then, instead of loading screen, my computer restarts, or, far more often, my screen gets black and nothing happens. I hear RTW music, but the battle is not loading. I once waited for 5 minutes and nothing happened.
I didin't have this problem before and I could play battles. But, after I chose to play battle before one week , my comp restarted and since than I can't play battles.

    Thanks in advance

On Windows XP, check in Control Panel, System, Advanced Properties, Startup and Recovery Settings, System failure, that all check boxes are ticked, and "Small memory dump" is selected.

Then check the Event Viewer Application and System logs for any errors that get logged when this problem happens - run "eventvwr" from Start, Run in Windows. This may give you a clue as to what has gone wrong (drivers etc).

This sounds to me like video card driver problems, do this.
Set everything on the video options to minimum. Also see if you have generals view only checked. If the problem doesnt happen, turn the settings up. Things like trilinear messes up on some cards. So make sure you get the latest drivers for your card nvidia and also directx 9.
Then turn the setting back up. HTH.
