Nope, hadn't seen anything in any of those about it.

They all carried articles in praise of the films message of either intelligent design , monogamy , family values and Gods message or a combination of them .

Really? I checked a little and couldnt find squat about it at the NRO site, and the only thing I could find from Christian Science Monitor was a movie review which gave it a paltry 2 out of 5- one of the complaints being how the movie tried to show penguins as seeing the world in human terms.

Passion of the Christ? Please. Again, to say it is being pushed by Christians on anything close to the same level is a total distortion. I stick by my earlier straw man statement.

Geez... Now we have a penguin thread turning in to democrats-rebuplican thread.......

Turning into one? It was started as one. Look at the poor dumb Christians they think penguins are role models.

Also, I personally do not want to see either "The Passion" or "March of the Penguins", but not because of any lefty-righty crap- I don't want to see them because they look HORRIBLE. They look like a snuff film and a collection of meaningless garbage, respectively.

But that joke about bringing the hammer down on Louis's ass was pretty funny.

If only our friends from across the blue divide would read a bit more, they would see many Christian outlets promoting the movie. Michael Medved himself said in an interview that it is 'the motion picture this summer that most passionately affirms traditional norms like monogamy, sacrifice and child rearing. (..) This is the "Passion of the Penguins".' And National Review editor Rich Lowry tells young conservatives': 'You have to check out "March of the Penguins". It is an amazing movie. And I have to say, penguins are the really ideal example of monogamy. These things - the dedication of these birds is just amazing.'

Anyway, it is the best selling documentary after Fahreneit 9-11. The remarkable thing is that this movie, which was meant by director Luc Jacquet to serve one superstition, i.e. to warn against man-made global warming, is now serving another, i.e. Intelligent Design. It seems the movie starts with the words 'For millions of years they have made their home on the darkest, driest, windiest and coldest continent on earth. And they've done so pretty much alone.'

Millions of years, eh? So much for Christian creationism.
