I don't think you understand this. You can choose not to post if you hate him this much, but if you do hate him, don't post and especially crap like that.

I don't care how 'extreme' he was, he at least deserves a little respect in a game forum thread.

Funny when a "criminal" dies everyone mocks him and wishes him hell, when an extremist dies is all about respect.

That would require a political verdict on the part of the moderators. Albeit, in this case, not a very hard one. Nonetheless, it forces them to choose sides in a political and religious conflict. The same applies here, hence I did not want to be in their shoes.

If you want to google our kabbalistic sage to make up your own mind about him, try Yitzchak Kaduri or Kedouri. His name can be spelled in various different forms in latin alphabet.

My remarks at the top of the thread have caused some major headaches for which I apologise. I should explain that the original post in the Frontroom was cause for a headache all by itself.

The rabbi should not be compared to Osama bin Laden, but Proletariat’s remark comes very close to the truth. Kaduri could be compared to the man who inspired Osama during his religious studies at King Abdul Aziz University, sheikh Abdallah Azzam. Azzam’s taped lectures caught the angry mood and messianic zeal of disaffected young muslims. If you are looking for the spiritual and theological roots of Osama’s extremism, look no further than Azzam.

Kaduri, as Oriental Jewry’s most ‘respected’ Kabbalist, was the exact same thing to disaffected young Oriental Jews. He was, among other things, the religious backbone of the Shas Party as well as the leading light of Kabbalists who promulgated Greater Israel, despised Arabs and ‘cursed’ Israeli leaders who refused to give in to their own exalted visions. Kaduri’s last known action was to protest Sharon’s Gaza evacuation with the words ‘Wherever a Jewish voice is heard, that is where the Jewish homeland is’.

The original poster has a motto underneath his avatar that says ‘Kahane chai!’ (‘Kahane lives!’). That is the slogan of the Kach Party, founded by the late Meir Kahane, a party that is outlawed in Israel as a terrorist and racist organisation. Allowing this post to ‘stand’ would be akin to accepting a post in the Frontroom that laments the ‘great Abdallah Azzam’s death’ under the motto ‘Mohamed Atta lives!’.

Hence my own headache. Shoot me at first light if you need to, but my remarks were inspired by a genuine shock that the Frontroom would be abused for such propaganda. Louis is right that the moderators sometimes face the impossible task of avoiding political judgment in the interest of .org peace. I am not a moderator. And I don't want to be a moderator's pest either because the ladies and gentlemen have a hard enough job as it is. So I will desist and shut up now.
