Default Sydney OK place to eat

    Sydney named top nosh city

Well according to the LA times it is the place to eat...

"Not only are those restaurants-with-a-view astonishing - by rights, they needn't be very good at all - but Sydney also has enticing candidates of nearly every ilk, including high-concept French, serious seafood houses, contemporary Asian and cafes that serve breakfast with such sunny optimism you feel nothing can go wrong again. Ever," she wrote.
Not sure, I know it is relatively cheap to get good food compared with Perth, the high end places are a bit of a stretch to visit.

Coffee at most cafes is far better then Starbucks and costs half the price at the cafe... so I'm not sure if this follows through to the rest of the foodstuffs.
Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.

The quality and low cost of food when I lived in Sydney was very apparant to me when I lived there.

I remember having dinner at a top notch fish restraunt for like 30 bucks (£15) - and it was the most wonderful fish I ever ate. Over here you couldn't get a pub lunch for less than £15, but thats about it. When some of my Australian friends came over, they were appalled at having to pay the equivalent of 20 $AUS for a Burger King They still talk about the "20 dollar BK"

I never ate out so much in all my life as when I lived in Sydney
"I request permanent reassignment to the Gallic frontier. Nay, I demand reassignment. Perhaps it is improper to say so, but I refuse to fight against the Greeks or Macedonians any more. Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive. I am not the young man I once was, but I swear before Jupiter Optimus Maximus that I shall see a world without Gauls before I take my final breath."

    Senator Augustus Verginius
